Our travel story at Sundarbans Karamjol
The Karamjol wildlife sanctuary is very beautiful like every place in the Sundarbans but different. We went there directly after visiting Sundarbans Harbaria. Coming out of the launch we saw a signboard.
The signboard contained some general information about the Sundarbans.
A monkey was sitting right in front of the signboard. I saw a strange thing about that monkey. One of its eyes was damaged for some reason.
Saw a deer next to it. Everyone was playing with it and feeding it. The deer stuck out its tongue. Then I took the picture.
Suddenly we found another little monkey that was running away.
Then we went to the Deer Breeding Center. The deer move around like themselves. But when they see a tourist bringing food, for eating they come closer. Everyone was feeding the deer. We also bought some leaves and gave them to eat.
Then we went to an information center. There was some information about the habitat of different animals in Bangladesh.
Crocodile Breeding Center at Sundarbans Karamjol
I said earlier that there is a crocodile breeding center. We went there then. Those were the saltwater crocodiles but little.
In front of the crocodile breeding center, you will see small ponds. Some of them are baby crocodiles that have just hatched. Some of them are medium-sized and some of them have little water crocodiles.
Here are Romeo, Juliet, and Pill Pill. These were caught in fishermen’s nets. These three crocodiles were brought to Karamjol in 2002. Romeo and Juliet are now 23 years old. These two became fertile in 2005. Through them, the first artificial crocodile production was started in Bangladesh.
Slightly smaller than Juliet Romeo in size. This saltwater species of crocodile lives about 80 to 100 years.
According to the latest information, Juliet has laid 482 eggs so far. Of these, 264 baby crocodiles have hatched. Another female crocodile is Pilapil. So far he has laid 44 eggs. From this 33 children have been born.
Seeing the crocodile in sundarban, we went near a pond. I was a little shocked to see a crocodile there.
But I was not afraid. But one thing seemed much worse. Everyone there threw bottles. These can cause damage to wildlife. Besides, these are incompatible with the natural environment.
While traveling at Harbaria in the Sundarbans, we saw a walkway on a wooden deck. Here is that arrangement too.
However, there was no fear of tigers or any other wild animals. While walking, I noticed that there is a lot of damage to the natural environment. Many trees have been cut down and destroyed.
We visited the whole forest. Standing on the bank of the river, I saw the beauty of nature for a while. At the end of it all, we got out of the Sundarbans Karamjol area. This last place didn’t look so good.
But don’t forget that,
From something, 100 percent satisfaction is not always available.
We got on the launch again after visiting Sundarbans Karamjol. Finally, our journey ended with a Superb trip to the Sundarbans. We went back to Mongla again.
